order policy

Lotus Cakes requires a 50% advance on all orders to confirm them. this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. You may also pay in full if that works best for you. only upon receiving at least half of the total amount will we be able to start your order.

Remaining balance must be paid before your order is picked up/delivered. failure to do so may result in a temporary hold of order until remaining balance has been paid.

changes and cancelations

If cancellation occurs more than 5 days before the order date, the deposit may be applied as a store credit for a future order. If cancellation occurs within 5 days, the deposit is forfeited and no credit will be given.

Final balance (remaining 50%) must be paid before pickup/delivery. Orders will not be released without full payment.

late policy

All orders must be placed at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If available, we will take orders at least 3 days before order date but order will be subject to a late fee of $20.00.

Last-minute orders (placed within 3 days of pickup/delivery) must be paid in full at time of booking. These orders are final sale and not eligible for refunds or credits.

pickup/delivery

Lotus Cakes holds no responsibility for any damages after orders has been picked up or delivered to homes or venues (picture evidence will be taken as proof of safe delivery). After orders have left the premise, Lotus Cakes cannot be held liable for any damage.

Before arriving for pickup, it is the clients responsibility to ensure your car is cool as warmer temperatures may react with elements such as buttercream, fondant, chocolate etc... and may melt with direct heat/sunlight. When storing your order, it is recommended to keep order in the fridge or in a cool environment until ready for service. Buttercream based treats are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to be taken out and enjoyed at ROOM TEMPERATURE.

Please ensure when collecting orders that they must be placed on a flat and clean surface that is non-slip. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure careful driving as orders may be fragile.

allergens

All baked goods are made in a kitchen that handles all major allergens including nuts, wheat, eggs, dairy and soy. Please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate but we cannot guarantee any cross contamination.

decoration and ingredients

Lotus Cakes may use non-edible decorations and ingredients when making your order. This may include dowels, toppers, straws, flowers, dried florals etc... when serving, make sure to remove these items.

Flowers used on cakes are cleaned, wrapped and taped sufficiently but clients also understand any risks of pesticides, dirt, insects or any other contaminates that may be present when put on cakes.

respect and kindness

Lotus Cakes has the right to refuse service to anyone that displays rude, aggressive, disrespectful or fraudulent behavior. It will not be tolerated.

photo compensation

We photograph orders and reserve the right to use images taken by Lotus Cakes for promotion or social media purposes. You acknowledge that no compensation will be given to you with use of these photos.
